Once the park is fully established part-time education will be offered. Correspondingly, it will be possible to use the park as a kind of research place regarding ecology and biology. Classrooms will be established.
The park should be perceived as an extra offer for both tourists as well as natives of Bornholm . The Park provides the opportunity to experience something beautiful and exciting and at the same time one is getting insight in nature and the necessity of treating the earth decent.
We want the visitors to experience the fantastic lifecycle of the butterflies with eggs, caterpillar phase and chrysalis. To discover an amazing development that ends with a bightly coloured butterfly.
The Butterfly Park & Tropical Land of Bornholm is still under enlargement, and we work further towards the goal that we sat in 1997; ‘to establish an eventful place for both natives of Bornholm as well as tourists with an overall experience that consists of:
An experience of the tropical warmth with all its colours, birds and not at least the brightly coloured butterflies. Simultaneously, the arrangement of the house with its small lakes, cataracts and big plants provides an experience of being inbetween nature.
Several of the Danish butterflies are assembled and thereby observable in the special etablished park. Only this is possible through careful harmonization of nectar and host plants. The outdoor areas are meant to take effect as a large flower and ornamental garden with tables and benches, so that ice, coffee and food can be relished in the scenic areas.

In connection with the tropical house a comfortable café with a well-stocked kiosk is established. In the kiosk you will find different kinds of goods which you might have found interesting through the visit of the tropical land – e.g cards and posters as well as butterflies that have been proofed and placed on a sheet with name and place of origin.
Our wish for the visitors is that they will experience something real, unspoiled and magnificent. The entire park is run without the use of chemicals and the butterflies are flying around freely'
